ICC Invites Applications for Senior Positions

Indian Chemical Council (formerly known as Indian Chemical Manufacturers Association, set up in 1938) is a seventy year old organization having more than 300 members engaged in manufacturing and services related to Petroleum Refining, Petrochemicals, Inorganic Chemicals, Organic Chemicals, Speciality Chemicals, Fertilizers, Agro Chemicals, Paints, Dyestuff, Pharma/Biofuel etc. Today each of these sectors is experiencing double digit growth. Further the growth of Chemical Industry ICC has become vibrant and has been pursuing awareness programmes on Responsible Care, Reach, Health, Safety & Environment, Carbon Trading etc for members. Last year it organized about 25 programmes all over the Country and these were attended by 2000 delegates both from India and overseas. ICC has established MoUs with overseas organizations. ICC intends gearing up for the next decades and to meet the growing activities of the Council. ICC needs following full time executives.

1. Director General

He will act as CEO of the Council and shall be responsible to President and Executive Committee
(an Elected Body) of Council.
He should be a graduate in Engineering/Post Graduate/PhD in Science/Commerce or Chartered Accountant/MBA.
He should have served Chemical Industry for 25 years out of which last five years should be in a senior position.
Preference will be given to those who have worked in any reknown all India Association like CII/FICCI/Assocham etc. and those who are aware about Indian Chemical Industry and key persons who manage the same.
Acquaintances with statutory authorities will be an added advantage.

2. Secretary General

He will be responsible for day to day running of ICC secretarial and will report to Director General. ICC secretariat will include the personnel at Head office in Mumbai and other regional Centers at Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata and Vadodara.
He should be graduate in Engneering/Science/Commerce preferably having MBA.
He should have experience of at least twenty years in Indian Chemical Industry out of which 5 years in Senior Position looking after Administration/Exports/Commercial etc.
Preference will be given to those who have worked in similar posts in All India Association like CII/FICCI/Assocham etc.

3. Head-Environment Care

He will look after Responsible Care and Safety, Health and Environment programmes of Council. Besides he shall conduct awareness programmes on REACH. He will be responsible to Director General with regard to his area of activities.

He should be a graduate in Chemical Engineering/Post Graduate in Chemistry/Degree in Environmental Engineering.
He should have worked in the Chemical Industry for five years as HSE Head and/or involved in Responsible Care program of any Chemical Industry who are signatory to Responsible Care program of ICC.
Persons having worked in similar position in All India Associations like CII/FICCI or Assocham will be considered.

4. Head-Trade & Infrastructure

He will responsible for organizing exhibitions/industry fairs/ Buyer-Sellers meet and also organizing delegations both from India and overseas with a purpose of increasing the domestic and International trade. Besides he will interact with Government bodies on issues related to Infrastructure. For his day-to-day activities he shall report to Director General.
He shall be a graduate in Engineering/Science/Commerce preferably with an MBA degree.
He should have at least 15 years of experience preferably in commercial activities during last five years.
Persons having worked in All India Association like CII/FICCI or Assocham, Chemexcil, Pharmexil in similar position will be preferred. Adequate compensation for the right candidate shall be paid.
