One-day Workshop on 'Risk Based Process Safety'

Under the auspices of Safety, Health & Environment Expert Committee of Indian Chemical Council a One-day Workshop on "RISK BASED PROCESS SAFETY" is being organized on Saturday, 8 August 2009. The venue of the Workshop is the Banquet Hall, WEST END HOTEL, 45 New Marine Lines, Next to Bombay Hospital, Mumbai - 400 020.

Mr. P. K. Ghosh, Chief Co-ordinator, Process Safety Center (PSC), ICC will be conducting the Workshop.

Members are aware that Indian Chemical Council (ICC) inaugurated "Process Safety Centre" (PSC) on 29 May 2009 at the hands of Mr. Jai Hiremath, President, ICC. PSCwill be offering seven Training Courses covering following areas:

  1. Risk Based Process Safety (1 Day duration)
  2. Quantitative Risk Assessment (4 Days duration)
  3. Implementing Process Safety Management System (1 Day duration)
  4. Hazard Evaluation Procedures (3 Days duration)
  5. Auditing Process Safety Management (2 Days duration)
  6. Consequence Analysis (3 Days duration)
  7. Accident Investigation Methodologies (2 Days duration)

As a first step towards starting the activity of Process Safety Centre, One-day Workshop for creating awareness about "Risk Based Process Safety" has been organized. The detailed program is enclosed herewith for your reference. You will notice that experts from industry will be making presentations on various relevant topics and we are sure that this Workshop will be immensely beneficial to the participants. Once the concept is understood, the next step will be to implement Risk Based Process Safety which will improve the safety record of the industry and major mishaps can be avoided. This will also lead to better image of the industry.

To defray the expenses, the registration charges will be Rs. 3,000/- per delegate.
