Indian Chemical Council in co-operation with Bombay Management Association (BMA), is organizing one-day Seminar on "Six Sigma & Lean Manufacturing" on Friday, 29 November 2013 venue being Rainbow Hall, GRAND HOTEL, 17, S. R. Marg, Ballard Estate, Mumbai - 400 001.

INTRODUCTION:

Six Sigma & Lean Manufacturing are tool kits to reduce waste in business processes. Both are proven concepts and have helped the companies in saving millions of rupees without capital investment. Six Sigma is data driven management system where as Lean Manufacturing focuses on reducing waste and streamlining operations. This technique is based on concept of "Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control".

FACULTY :

TATA CHEMICALS LTD, member-company of ICC has been using these techniques in their operations which have helped them immensely. Mr. Mahesh A. Deshpande, AGM -Functional Capability Building, TATA CHEMICALS LTD and his team will participate and share their experience and will also highlight fundamentals & basics of Six Sigma & Lean Manufacturing. There will be Case Studies from leading chemical manufacturing companies such as TATA CHEMICALS LTD and RASHTRIYA CHEMICALS & FERTILIZERS LTD who have also implemented these techniques and benefited immensely.

Further Mr. G. K. K. Singh, Director & Mr. Vikas Saswadkar, Business Manager, ASIAN INSTITUTE OF QUALITY MANAGEMENT (AIQM) will also participate and present Case Studies from Medium & Large Scale Process Industries. AIQM is one of the few institutes accredited by ASCB (Europe) Ltd, UK for conducting Six Sigma Certification Courses. AIQM has conducted courses such as Six Sigma Yellow Belt, Six Sigma Green Belt, Six Sigma Black Belt etc. in different organizations in India, Oman, Kuwait, Malaysia and Saudi Arabia.

To defray the expenses, the registration charges will be Rs.3,933/- per delegate (inclusive Service Tax @ 12.36%).
