Workshop on Process Safety Management in Chemical Industry 16 February 2018 at Bhiwadi, Rajasthan

Chemical industry is critical for the economic development of any country. India is emerging as one of the focus destination for chemical companies due to its high domestic consumption growth. At the same time it is important for the industry to grow in harmony with the environment. Process Safety Management (PSM) plays a very important role in same.

Process Safety Management (PSM) is a proactive and systematic approach for identification, evaluation, mitigation, prevention and control of hazards that could occur as a result of failures in process, procedures, or equipment. Increasing industrial accidents, loss of life & property, public scrutiny, statutory requirements, aging facilities and intense industrial processes, all contribute to a growing need for cost-effective Process Safety Management (PSM) Program to ensure safety and risk management.

The last two decades have seen many technological innovations that have contributed to automated, more reliable and cost effective process safety techniques, equipment and systems. The same is happening in a very dynamic way. The adoption of PSM not only diminishes the overall risk of environmental, health and safety failures but also lead to safe working environment, for its own employees, machinery and community around at large.

In view of the significance of 'Process Safety Management' in Indian Chemical Industry, ICC is organizing a one day workshop at Bhiwadi on "Process Safety Management in Chemical Industries" on 16th February 2018, to enhance competency levels among industry personnel on Process Safety Management System & technologies, there effective implementation and monitoring.
